AMD released version 8.11 of its propietary graphics drivers.
Excerpt from the Release Notes:
- This release of ATI Catalyst Linux introduces support for the following new
operating systems: - RHEL 4.7 support
- This release of ATI Catalyst Linux introduces support for display scaling to
resize the display devices that support TV timings (480i/p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p)
through either digital (DVI or HDMI) or analog (component) interfaces. - enables users to verify whether an application is running in ATI CrossFireX mode.
The new option found, in the ATI Catalyst Control Center, will allow users to verify
whether on OpenGL application is running in ATI CrossFireX mode,
the ATI CrossFireX logo will be shown onscreen when the application is running.
NVIDIA released version 177.82 of its binary drivers.

- Quadro FX 5800
- Quadro FX 4800
- Quadro FX 470
- Quadro CX
- Fixed a problem on recent mobile GPUs that caused a power management resume from S3 to take 30+ seconds.
- Fixed a problem with hotkey switching on some recent mobile GPUs.
- Fixed an image corruption issue seen in FireFox 3.

They also released version 2.4.3 of their driver. This is the last update in the 2.4.x line.
